Workshop content:
This workshop focuses on teaching three suspension-suitable harnesses. All harnesses will be thoroughly explained and taught in a way that ensures everyone can follow along. Individual guidance will also be provided on how to modify the harnesses for different body types and specific needs.
The workshop will cover:
Tengu harness (plus different options for 3rd rope)
Arm binder
suitable places for uplines for each harness
In case we have extra time at the end, we can do a third harness
After learning each harness, you are free to try them with an uplife if you have prior experience with them. This workshop does not teach uplines. At this point, I will first check the harness to ensure it is suitable for suspension.
Prior information requirements:
The rigger…
Solid knowledge of single column tie, frictions and rope handling
Has some experience in tying patterns
Solid tension managent
Understanding of safety and nerves
If you plan on putting weight to the harnesses in this workshop, you need to have prior knowledge of uplines and good upline handling skills
The bottom…
It is recommend that you've been in ropes before and you know what works for your body and what does not. Knowledge of your own limits and capability. (The workshop contains tying specific patterns for long period of time, which can be hard on your body).
You have information about risks in tying, specially nerve issues
It’s not your first time in suspension if you plan on being suspended in the harnesses. (This workshop does not require suspension).
Needed for this workshop:
Water bottle, snacks/lunch
Clothes that are comfortable to wear and move in
A notebook or paper and pen
Ropes, safety scissors, suspension lines if needed
