Ceci Ferox
October 2024
Ceci Ferox (they/them) is a Berlin-based queer, sex therapist & sexologist, kink activist and rope nerd – and not to mention one of our founding members, currently a resident teacher at Karada House. They have been teaching Japanese inspired rope bondage since 2014, drawing on their expertise as a community educator to bring people together.
"I like to deconstruct technique and communication into their basic elements to understand them better. In my tying and BDSM practice I focus on curiosity and exploration of interpersonal dynamics, empowerment, pleasure, stillness and growth", Ceci says.
Ceci's practice is trauma-informed, inclusive of different identities and bodies, and anti-racist.

Right in the feels – channeling emotion and building dynamics in rope sessions
Different positions of the tied body are not just visual or practical. Our posture, position, and relation to each other directly affect how we feel and what the dynamics of our play become. We can also make an impact with how we use the rope in relation to our bodies.
In this workshop we will explore how to create connection and intensity in rope sessions. Ceci will talk about bodies, relating, rope techniques, and roles to give you tools for creating interesting dynamics, emotional intimacy, and more mindful play sessions. The goal is to make connection feel easier and less like telepathy.
Requirements:
You can attend this workshop with any skills you have, as long as you are able to tie basics: single column tie, wrapping, and tension.

Performance: Ceci Ferox & Layal
Ceci Ferox (they/them) is a Berlin-based queer, sex therapist & sexologist, kink activist and rope nerd – and one of Helsinki Shibari’s founding members, currently a resident teacher at Karada House. They have been teaching rope since 2014.
Layal (they/them) is a Berlin-based performer and activist. Practising rope since 2019, Layal’s interests include voice work, chaos, and non-normative powerplay. A complete menace, they are currently completing their Masters in conflict management.
Ceci and Layal bring their derpy energy on stage for the first time ever in Helsinki. They will tap into the vibe of 🎵 fat people doing things 🎵 and show that doing all that fucked up, marvelous ropey business isn't tied to (pun intended) body shape or size.
Content warnings: Ceci and Layal’s performance contains impact play, breath play and bad jokes.
Performance: Amy May & Bambi
Amy May is a Finnish rope artist and teacher, and one of the founding members of the Helsinki Shibari collective. For Amy, consent and trust are the most important themes in everything regarding intimacy. Amy is a polyamorous perv, who strives for changing the world with one touch at a time.
Bambi is a non-binary performing character in a pink wig. They have performed in various kinky-positive events since 2017.
Doll Play
Often tying brings out a lot of emotions and facial expressions - in both the person tying and the person being tied. With the Doll play -performance, Amy and Bambi explore the other extreme: when the person being tied has no possibilities to express themselves at all. How are play and connection created when the other person doesn’t react to anything?
Content warnings: extreme passive play, impact play, objectification
-
Bambi on ei-binäärinen esiintyvä hahmo pinkissä peruukissa. Hän on esiintynyt erilaisissa kinkypositiivisissa tapahtumissa vuodesta 2017.
Doll Play
Sisältövaroitukset: extreme passive play, impact play, objektifikaatio

Low hanging fruit – building suspension and transitions the Ceci way
Ceci approaches suspension in a very specific way - their style is centered on low suspensions, constant movement, and emotional intimacy. Join this workshop to learn suspending in a way that focuses on the connectedness of tying partners.
We will explore techniques suitable specifically for low suspension, including lifting and tools. Ceci will guide you into seeing different transition possibilities and share their views on how to observe a body in suspension. They will also guide you in possibilities for creating deep experiences for both the person tying and getting tied.
Requirements:
You tie suspensions fluently and have found harnesses that work for the person being tied.
You are able to efficiently problem solve or finish a suspension if something goes wrong.
You are able to communicate clearly with your tying partner and you respect each others boundaries.
